A Letter from the Founder
Why I built Service Alliance.
I know what it means to Serve. I spent twenty years in the United States Army. I led Soldiers in Afghanistan. I planned operations across a fifty-four-nation coalition in West Africa. I taught at West Point and at the Armor Officer Course, and served on the Army Staff — influencing decisions during one of the most transformative periods in recent history.
Across every one of those assignments, one truth never changed: the strength of any unit — any mission — lives in the connections between the people inside it. Nothing matters more than the service members to your left and right. But what happens the day after you take off the uniform?
When Veterans leave service, those connections fray. Platforms have tried to fill the gap and missed. LinkedIn sees a résumé, not a warrior profile. RallyPoint tagged a branch and stopped. VA.gov is a portal, not a network. Ten thousand unit associations — entire chapters of American military heritage — are running on general-purpose tools nobody built for us.
That is the gap I built Service Alliance to close. An AI-native platform — specialized tools under one identity layer — built around the complete warrior: peer to peer, Veteran to history, Veteran to career, Veteran to the benefits and resources they have already earned.
But a platform carrying Veteran stories, service records, mental-health data, and family legacies has no business existing without the hardest guardrails in the industry. I have read too many headlines to pretend otherwise. We do not sell Veteran data. We do not monetize vulnerability. The tools in our kit bag are features, not footer links. Agents assist — they do not act unsupervised on anyone's behalf. Every Veteran can export their data, or erase it, at any time. Those are not marketing points. Those are rules of engagement.
I am building this because I believe in servant leadership and the need to connect, maintain purpose, and retain dignity. All service members and their families deserve a nation that remembers what a legacy of service looks like. No Veteran should ever log in, tell their story, and wonder who is reading it.

Deep connection without disciplined guardrails is just exposure. These are the commitments Service Alliance holds itself to — publicly, and on day one, not after an incident.
Veteran data is never sold.
Not to advertisers. Not to recruiters. Not to data brokers. Full stop. Stories, documents, and service records belong to the Veterans who created them — we are stewards, not owners.
Export or delete on demand.
Every Veteran can take their data with them or erase it entirely. Data sovereignty is a default, not a setting buried seven menus deep.
Identity verification done right.
Veteran identity verified through DD-214 and VA records using secure document AI. No public badges, no gamified 'trust scores' — just the quiet confidence that the person next to you actually served.
Encryption at rest and in transit.
HIPAA-adjacent standards for health and disability information. PII stays out of agent context beyond what the workflow requires.
AI with guardrails, not autopilot.
Agents surface, assist, and draft — humans decide. If a Veteran shows distress, Safe Harbor peer support is offered before the workflow continues. Mission over technology, always.
